Find revenue friction.
Fix it.

Two-week audits and fractional growth leadership for mid-size B2B tech companies that have the team and the tech, know the output should be higher, and don't want to be the last to figure out where AI fits.

Small leaks, large deals

In B2B, every deal is large, so small problems cost real money.

Leads drop at the handoff.

Marketing hits its number, sales says the leads are junk, and nobody owns the gap between them.

The message misses the person who signs.

Your site and campaigns speak to the user. The buyer is someone else.

You pay every month for a stack nobody fully uses.

Tools were bought for a plan that changed. The invoices didn't.

AI is a line item, not a system.

Somebody bought the seats. Nobody changed a process. The team still does by hand what the tools were supposed to take over.

A few points recovered at the right stage of the funnel can add six figures a year without adding a rep or a dollar of ad spend.

Two weeks to a diagnosis.
Then we fix it.

Step one

Revenue Opportunity Audit

$5,000 fixed fee · Two weeks

I look at the whole engine: funnel and conversion, demand gen, the sales and marketing handoff, positioning, your tech stack, automation and AI, your agencies, and your partner channels. Then I rank every problem I find by revenue impact against effort and time to fix.

You get
  • A short written diagnosis
  • The few changes most likely to move revenue
  • Where AI can replace work your team does by hand, and where it can't
  • A 90-day plan
  • An executive readout with your leadership team

Most clients also use it as a straight answer on whether their agency is earning its retainer. I don't sell agency services, so I can give you one.

Step two

Fractional Growth Lead

From $10,000/month

Once we know what to fix, I help your team fix it. I work with your leaders, your employees, your agencies, and your partners on whatever the audit put at the top of the list.

Advisory $10,000/month

I own the plan and the priorities. Weekly leadership time, oversight of internal teams and agencies, ongoing course correction.

Embedded from $15,000/month

I own the work. I build, launch, and run the priority initiatives directly, including the AI and automation systems the audit called for, and report against the numbers we agreed on.

Defined-scope projects are also available.

The stretch in between

Time to a diagnosis Never. They sell the channel they run. Three to six months Two weeks
Scope One channel One role The whole revenue engine
Cost to find out it's wrong A quarter of retainer A year of salary and a severance $5,000
Built for Companies that already know what to buy Companies ready to add headcount Companies with the team in place and output to recover

An agency sells you its channel. A new executive takes six months to find the problems you already suspect. VelocityLab covers the stretch in between: someone who finds what's holding back revenue in two weeks, tells you which few things matter, and stays to get them done.

Who you're working with

Mike Penrod

Mike Penrod, Founder

I've built and repaired go-to-market programs at startups, at companies through IPO, and alongside Amazon and Dell. I've run marketing, built alliance and partner programs with the largest technology companies in the world, led BDR teams, and owned revenue operations. VelocityLab is that work, offered directly to B2B companies that would rather fix what they have than buy something new.

Questions before the call

Who is this for?

B2B companies with a sales and marketing team in place, a real tech stack, and a sense that spend isn't turning into pipeline the way it should. Most are between $5M and $100M in revenue.

We already have a CMO. Is this a replacement?

No. Most audits are commissioned by the CMO or CEO, and the fractional work reports to them. I'm there to find and fix specific problems, not to run the department.

We're behind on AI. Is that what this is about?

Partly. Most teams I meet have bought AI tools and changed nothing about how work gets done. The audit shows where AI would actually save your team hours or add pipeline, and where it's a distraction. If it belongs in the 90-day plan, it's in there with everything else.

What happens after the audit if we don't continue?

You keep the diagnosis and the 90-day plan and run it yourselves. Plenty of clients do exactly that.

Can you evaluate our agency without them knowing?

Yes. I'll need read access to the accounts and reporting, which you can grant directly. Whether to tell the agency is your call.

Do you work with agencies?

I work alongside them when a client already has one, and I'll tell you honestly whether to keep them. I don't take referral fees or resell agency services.

How fast can you start?

Usually within two weeks of the first call.
